Just wanted to quickly touch base with some tips & hints with what you can do from a PR & marketing perspective for your business as South East Queensland goes into a 3 day lockdown.
I know it's a tough and challenging time for everyone, but hopefully you find these helpful as we navigate the next few days.
Most Flex PR clients should now be familiar with our 'Game Plan' 🏀 model, when it comes to offence, defence and fans for your marketing and communication strategy.
In this case, you need to make sure you're taking the initiative and clearly communicating to your fans as to how the lockdown impacts their interaction with your business.
There's a few ways you can do this...
Email newsletter (just like this one)
Text message - this is particularly good for your top ticket holders and VIP's (another 'Flex Game Plan' reference)
Social media posts - this should really be the minimum
Signage - if applicable at your shop, store or workplace
2. Show Empathy
This part is really important. Even if you're hurting from the lockdown, put yourself in others shoes.
On top of this, try to avoid criticism or politicising the lockdown. The last thing people want at this time is finger pointing and the blame game.
3. Be Flexible
Sadly these lock downs are going to continue from time to time for the foreseeable future.
Here at Flex our preference is always to reschedule or postpone whilst working closely with our clients to find a mutually beneficial outcome.
Try to make a special effort with customers & clients and to work around any challenges that this latest lockdown has thrown at you or them.
