Social media has arguably become one of, if not the most important online marketing platform in recent years.
However, it can be a tricky one for a lot of businesses - there are a lot of different aspects that you need to take into consideration, and don't even get us started on how different every platform is 🤯
We want to take a moment to focus on the organic side of social media marketing, and share our three top tips with you for improving your organic socials.
Switch up the types of posts
Generally speaking, organic social media is best used as a way to grow your brand awareness rather than increasing sales. So, while you can definitely throw in a sales-related post here and there, your feed should predominantly be industry-relevant news, upcoming events, tips and advice, company updates, client testimonials, or anything in between.
Post consistently, but not too frequently
There's a fine line between keeping your brand in the minds of your audience and bombarding them with too much content, and where this line sits can change depending on your industry. We recommend posting at least 2 to 3 times a week as a minimum, whilst also changing up the variety of posts.
Interact with your followers
It might seem like a tedious or unnecessary extra step to add to your social media strategy, but interacting with your followers can help boost your account - the more people that engage with you, the more the algorithm likes it and recommends your account to others 😃 You can do this by -
Liking and replying to comments on your posts;
Liking or commenting on other posts; or
Asking a question in your caption to encourage users to comment.
